Our Buffalo, New York Location:

Thank you for your interest in the Bartender's Professional Training Institute. Our school is the only Bartending School outside the New York City area licensed by the New York State Education Department. The program offers hands-on training at a bar station mixing, blending and shaking over 150 different drinks. The program also includes an in-depth wine presentation and much more. Instructional manuals are provided and yours to keep once you complete the course.

Students who graduate from the 40-hour program receive our bartender training certificate as testimony. They also receive Alcohol Awareness Certification which is accepted in all States that mandate responsible alcohol service.

The Bartender's Professional Training Institute has been teaching students in the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas for over 20 years. The majority of each class includes working at a fully-stocked bar station learning the latest cocktail and shooter recipes. Our classes are always limited in size to insure a student-teacher ratio of no more than 8:1, thereby guaranteeing individualized instruction.

You must be at least 18 years of age to bartend in New York State. We have flexible school hours to fit your schedule and our classes are always on-going. A recent graduate stated, "It was one of the best things I have ever done. The course definitely gave me a head start and allowed me to hit the ground running once I started bartending. If I didn't take the class I would never be bartending right now. There is so much to learn that without the class I would have been lost".

Local bar and restaurant managers call our schools periodically requesting bartenders. At graduation, each student is provided with an up-to-date job-placement network list with these names and addresses added. Also, as a refresher if necessary, our graduates may repeat any or all of their classes at any time at no additional cost.

You will find on-line out-of-state companies trying to sell books on how to bartend. Don't waste your money because they just don't work. Hands-on, at a bar station, with an instructor is the only proven way to learn bartending. As proof of our school's integrity, we are fully accredited and licensed by the New York State Education Department.
