David Edwards, Director of the Professional Bartending School of Nashville, Tennessee.

David Edwards - Director

David Edwards has been involved in bartending schools since 1986. His mother owned and directed the St. Louis campus from 1978 until 1988. David graduated from the St. Louis campus in 1986. He has worked in fine dining restaurants, hotels, neighborhood bars, and the St. Louis Airport .

David was one of the original co-founders and former Vice President of Professional Bartending Schools of America
David also has mastered basic bar flair and was a judge in the 2003 "Best Bartender in Tennessee " flair contest, whose winner received a qualification in the Disney "Quest for the Best Bartender in America " contest held yearly in Orlando , Florida .

He has been the featured trainer in all of PBSA instructor and staff training tapes, he’s appeared in television commercials, and speaks annually at PBSA seminars on running highly successful bartending schools. David has helped develop training techniques that are used in schools around the country and has participated in the development of the current textbook used by the Professional Bartending Schools of America .

David is shown above on the right with PBSA President, Roger Oldham and Alberto Gonzalez of Jose' Cuervo after graduating from Jose Cuervo Tequila training seminar held in Key West, Florida in 2005. David has also attended and passed seminars from Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Glenlivett Scotch, Bacardi Rum, Martel Cognac, Makers Mark, and Anheuser-Busch and Guinness Beer Schools .

Quinn Edwards - Assistant Director

Quinn has been in the restaurant and bar industry for 9 years. She was previously an office manager of an advertising newspaper before attending Professional Bartending School of Nashville in September 2000.

She began working at the Professional Bartending School in October 2000 as an admissions representative and also as the office manager. Quinn bartends part time at banquets, private parties, and festivals such as the Bonnaroo Music Festival.  

Quinn currently is the Assistant Director of the Nashville campus and enjoys helping people get into a career that not only is fun but profitable.

David has been the Director of the Professional Bartending School of Nashville since January of 1992.  As Director, the Nashville campus has won School of the Year a total of seven times since opening. 

The campus has won School of the Year a remarkable six out of the last seven years. David has won countless contribution awards and has twice won the prestigious President’s Award which is the top award in the Professional Bartending Schools of America affiliation for outstanding service and contribution.

Randy Jansen - Job Placement Director

Randy Jansen is our outstanding job placement director for the Nashville campus.  He has been instrumental in the success of the job placement program since taking over the job placement department in May of 2004, shortly after graduating the Professional Bartending School of Nashville.

Last year the campus had a 98% job placement rate which is a record nationwide for all PBSA campuses and Randy truly cares about the success of our graduates.

Before attending the Professional Bartending School of Nashville, Randy had spent 4 years in the Navy, attended the University of Dubuque in Iowa , and had worked for 14 years with Lowes in loss prevention and human resources.

Manda Crooks - Admissions Counselor

Manda Crooks attended the Professional Bartending School of Nashville in April 2006.  Since finishing the school she has worked full time at the campus and has been bartending part time at the Ten Pin Tapper Lounge.  She also enjoys bartending at private parties.

After Manda graduated high school, she attended college, where she studied English and Sociology.  Upon leaving college she was an intern for political fundraising and has held various administration jobs.  

She has had bar and restaurant experience in various places around the United States including Lone Star Steakhouse in Charlotte, N.C. and various bar experience in several night clubs in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Randy Jansen - Part Time Instructor

To get to know the students better, Randy fills in teaching a couple of classes each week. This gives Randy one-on-one time with each student prior to their coming in for Job Placement Assistance.

Since graduating the Professional Bartending School he has bartended on the General Jackson Showboat, Hair of the Dog, and currently bartends part time at the Nashville Nightlife. 

He also enjoys bartending private functions and has bartended such events as “The Nashville Show” with Ralph Emery, Fan Fair parties, weddings, etc.   Randy also instructs part time at the Nashville campus.

Victor Deaton -Full-Time Instructor

Victor is a full time instructor at the Professional Bartending School of Nashville.  He is an outstanding instructor who was nominated for the nationwide Instructor of the Year in 2005 for PBSA campuses. 

Before attending our school he bartended at a variety of places including The Baked Potato Hollywood on Sunset Blvd., La Ve Lee on Ventura Blvd. in San Fernando Valley .  He attended the Professional Bartending School in October 2002 to sharpen his skills and started bartending at Romano’s Macaroni Grille in Opry Mills. 

Shortly after that he started working at the Nashville campus in August of 2003.  He still enjoys bartending private parties and functions.

Victor is an avid musician who plays drums, and has recorded and toured since he was 15 years old.  He has an Associate Degree from Vol State and has taught private music lessons for years.
